The listing is for 1x animal, of a beginner-friendly species of isopod (rolypoly/pillbug/woodlice) that is hardy and quick to reproduce. This species is well-known for its pretty, red outlines and yellow & white spots. The white outlines are very pronounced in juveniles, but lessen with age.
This is a special pedigree called "Pudding", which has been selectively bred for their mutation that reduces the intensity of the red skirts found in the wild-type, which makes them resemble little puddings with sprinkles.
These are CAPTIVE BRED in my collection, with this stock originating from Montenegro, Europe. When a group is purchased, the isopods sent will be an assorted mixture of ages and sizes, to ensure a good start to a breeding colony.
The isopods feed on a variety of forest materials such as decaying wood and leaf litter. Additional supplements such as calcium (limestone/cuttlefish bone) and fish food should be offered as part of their balanced diet.
