The listing is for 1x animal, of a beginner-friendly species of isopod (rolypoly/pillbug/woodlice) that is hardy and quick to reproduce. This species is well-known for its pretty, red outlines and rows of white spots.
This is a pedigree called "Skeleton" originally isolated by Mark Titterton, which has been selectively-bred for a mutation where the white patches take over most of the body. Adam Webb from Microexotics has also isolated a similar line called "Nebula".
These are CAPTIVE BRED in my collection, with this stock originating from Croatia. When a group is purchased, the isopods sent will be an assorted mixture of ages and sizes, to ensure a good start to a breeding colony.
The isopods feed on a variety of forest materials such as decaying wood and leaf litter. Additional supplements such as calcium (limestone/cuttlefish bone) and fish food should be offered as part of their balanced diet.
