Common name - Pink Dragon Millipede
Scientific name - Desmoxytes planata
The listing is for 1x captive bred animal, of a highly sought-after species of millipede that is famous for its intense, pink colouration and the spiny protrusions that line its body.
These are CAPTIVE BRED in my collection, with this stock originating from Thailand, Asia. Please note that this is a small species and fully grown adults measure around 30 mm.
The 3 sizes available are:
1. Small - 0.5-1 cm juveniles
2. Medium - 1-1.5 cm grown on juveniles
3. Large - +1.5 cm subadults/adults
The juveniles and adults feed mainly on decaying wood and leaf mulch (decayed leaf litter). Additional supplements such as calcium (limestone/cuttlefish bone), fruits & veg, moss, and protein such as fish food should be offered as part of their balanced diet.
