⨂ Flavomarginatus Isopod, (Porcellio flavomarginatus)

Common name - Flavomarginatus Isopod
Scientific name - Porcellio flavomarginatus

Care Parameters:
- Temperature: 18-26 °C
- Humidity: low-medium
- Ventilation/Airflow: medium-high
- Difficulty: medium
- RARE

The listing is for 1x animal, of a gorgeous species of isopod (rolypoly/pillbug/woodlice) that is popularly kept for its wide, shield-like body shape. The common name is derived from its species name "flavo-marginatus" which translates to "yellow-bordered/edged", despite the skirts actually being white in real life.

These are CAPTIVE BRED in my collection, with this stock originating from Greece. When a group is purchased, the isopods sent will be an assorted mixture of ages and sizes, to ensure a good start to a breeding colony.

Like other giant Porcellio species, this species prefers a less moist environment compared to other isopods, with plenty of airflow as well.

The isopods feed on a variety of forest materials such as decaying wood and leaf litter. Additional supplements such as calcium (limestone/cuttlefish bone) and fish food should be offered as part of their balanced diet.
