⨂ Larvae - Emperor Stag Beetle, (Cyclommatus imperator)

Common name - Emperor Stag Beetle
Scientific name - Cyclommatus imperator

The listing is for 1x beetle larva, of a RARE species of Stag Beetle from Papua New Guinea. This species is famous for their aggressive-looking build, and possess large, ornately shaped mandibles much like its relatives in the Cyclommatus genus.

These are CAPTIVE BRED in my collection, with this stock originating from Papua New Guinea, Asia.

Like many members of the rhino/stag beetle families, the males of this species possess large horns/mandibles used in wrestling matches with rival males, while females lack these structures. The adult beetles feed on a variety of fruits such as banana, apple, pear, peach and watermelon. The larvae feed on decaying wood.
