Common name - Fanged Flower Beetle
Scientific name - Fruhstorferia dohertyi

The listing is for bulk quantities of beetle larvae, of a RARE species of Shining Leaf Chafer (Rutelinae) that is being offered for sale for the first time ever in the UK. 

The males of this species are very unusual and are famous for possessing magnificent fangs, making them resemble stag beetles. They also come in a variety of pastel colours ranging from apple green, turquoise, and yellow.

These are CAPTIVE BRED in my collection, with this stock originating from Chiang Mai, Thailand.

Like many members of the rhino/stag beetle families, the males of this species possess large horns/mandibles used in wrestling matches with rival males, while females lack these structures. The adult beetles feed on beetle jelly. The larvae feed on decaying wood.
